Instruments for Peace Concert Benefits the Center

The Center was honored to receive proceeds from the “Instruments For Peace” benefit concert, heldJanuary 8 at Trinity Presbyterian Church in University City . Opera singer Julia Bullock, accompanied by pianist Sandra Geary, gave an outstanding performance, and her beautiful soprano captured everyone's heart. Last year, while studying for her master's degree in music at the University of Rochester, Bullock decided she wanted to give back to nonprofits that help kids in the performing arts, using her musical talent. She chose the Center's International Play Ground and the Shropshire Music Foundation as the recipients of all proceeds from the benefit. And Bullock didn’t just sing — she also organized the event, which included a silent art auction and hors d’oeuvres. The Center is grateful for Bullock’s generous heart, incredible talent, and boundless energy!
